Find:
This is version 0.4f (Feb 23, 2002), a bugfix release of my 'find' addin. find04f.zip is the source code and the addin in one zip file.
Features:

Optional search of titles (i.e. subjects of memos, task, calendar items, contact names, and picture names)
Optional search of memo texts (only first 512 characters),
Optional search of task notes (only first 512 characters)
Optional search of calendar item notes (only first 512 characters)
Optional search of contact adresses (work-country/city/street/mobile home-country/city/street/mobile notes)
Optional case sensitivity
The previous four optional searches include a search of the respective title
Optional fast mode (default is fast!) searches only 100 characters of memos/notes and skips the addresses of the contacts
Display of up to 9 positive search results. These results can be 'tapped' to be displayed
Back button allows to go back to the previous screen (i.e. the search or the results screen).
In non-fast mode the search is interruptible (this is only checked every 30th item since it is really slow, so it won't interrupt if you have only 29 memos)
A progress line shows how much of the current database has been searched. Dots indicate how many databases have been finished.

Missing (and likelihood of realization):

More than 9 results (unlikely since it would require a substantial rewrite)
Display and search of more than 512 bytes (very unlikely)
Display of pictures (rather unlikely, but who knows)

Usage:

Start addin and you will be asked for the string to look for
After tapping 'ok' on the keyboard an options screen will appear. Switch the options as required. Tap on the search string to change it. Tap on 'search' to search. Tap on 'quit' to exit the addin.
After tapping 'search' the results screen will appear, listing positive results, or that nothing has been found. The search will indicate its progress by 4 little dots. When finished you can tap any of the positive results to display them or go 'back' to the options screen, or 'quit' the addin.
After tapping a positive result, the item will be displayed. Tap the screen to get buttons allowing to go 'back' to the results screen, start a 'new' search, 'quit' the addin, or display other pages (just for contacts).
Remember, when you get back to the options screen you can edit the search string by tapping on it.

This is work in progress. For more information on the project go to John's page.
The language pairs of the dictionary addin will be based on databases stored as memos. I have found that the freeware dictionary program Ergane comes with free language databases. They are, however, in a format which is unusable on the Rex. If you go to Ergane's vocabulary you can see which languages are POSSIBLY available (SOME OF THE FILES DON'T CONTAIN DATA, ONLY THE BIGGER FILES ACTUALLY DO !!!). If you need a language pair for which I haven't created the memo files, please send me an e-mail and I will create them.

Encrypted Memo:
Here comes version 0.6 (Oct 17, 2002) of the encrypted memo addin. Download encrypt06.zip which also includes the source code and a readme file explaining the features. In difference to the previous version this one does not need the upload of BMP files. It creates them itself. It will always create files only if they don't yet exist. Naming and format of the files is the same. Thus this version should be compatible with existing files. I have tested that and it worked for me but I can not guarantee that. So PLEASE BACKUP old encrypted addin files by copying to your computer with rextools. And, in case 0.3/0.4/0.5 can't read them, please send me an e-mail.
